Being a telephone surveyor is one helluva taxing job. At least for me it is. Mainly cos the amt i spent on calling will probably exceed the amt i can earn through this 3 day period. And i cant get my laptop's mic to work therefore i cant use the free voip services available on the net to make the calls.
You see..for each survey completed, i'll earn 6 bucks. And so far after making abt 30 calls, with most of them unanswered, i only managed to complete 1. And i spend slightly more than 6 bucks on the calls already. Sigh..
And having a large family doesnt really help. Cos i have to stop in between calls to ensure my family doesnt make much noise. Therefore i cant continuously call the clients given one after another. And the timing of which i'm calling is also bad since my siblings arent at home from abt 11-3 so i can only make my calls when most ppl are busy at work. As for the homemakers and retirees, most of them couldnt understand english so i couldnt do the survey as well.
I'm gonna stop for today tho. Still got 2 more days left to make the calls. Hopefully i can get at least 10 calls by the end of the week. Making 60 bucks is good enough for me.
p.s. why did i accept the job in the first place?
Cos when i arrived for the briefing, the ppl there took it as if we were already gonna accept the job and were enthusiastically handing out stuff for us to fill up.
To say no..well that would be just..mean..
