Must be the ganja..
A lot of things has happened the past week or so. But I'm just gonna make this a short update.
First, i finally finished my 5-tonner driving course plus the Driver's Continuation Programme(DCP) this week, thus leaving me with the 2 days Ford Everest Familiarisation Course as well as the MSET(vehicle maintainence) course before i finally get posted out to my unit. Driving 5 tonners were pretty easy, seeing how its an auto vehicle as compared to the manually geared 3 tonners. But due to it's size, it's harder to keep it in lane, to the extent i actually striked the kerb twice and got fucked for it..
As for my unit, I'm posted to the 1st SAF Transport Battalion over at Sembawang Camp so i guess i wont be leaving Sembawang Camp anytime soon. And it's a well known fact that 1st Transport is an operationally ready unit so there WILL BE outfield exercises for me in the days to come and i will be required to stay in, booking out only on weekends. I will also be liable for guard duty seeing how Sembawang Camp is not a combatant unit, so the only people who can do guard duty are the drivers and Transport Supervisors from 1st Transport. To sum it all up, i got the worst posting a Transport Supervisor could ever get.
Also, I've been earmarked for an overseas posting so there's a possibility of me being posted overseas for at least 6 months. And if i do get the overseas posting, it will most likely be at Brunei.
In other news, last Saturday, on my way back home, my motorcyle chain came off again. Again, i was within a very short distance of my place when it happened. I had to get it towed, fixed and it cost me a total of 113 bucks. Though my bike is now ok, i must say that owning your own vehicle is as great as ppl thought it is.
And on Friday, i was nearly involved in an accident over at the CTE, just after the AMK Ave 1 exit. There was a jam from there all the way past the Braddell Road exit at arnd 1.30pm in the afternoon, which in itself is strange. So i was doing what riders, do best in this kind of situation, squeezing thru traffic, between the 1st and 2nd lane. Suddenly, this one exceptionally mofo driver decided to make an abrupt lane change even from the 2nd to the 1st even though he saw me coming and he didnt signal his intention. Luckily that was a wee bit of space on the 1st lane so i went into the lane and back out of it in order to avoid colliding with the car since i couldnt stop in time.
As you can see, only bad things have happened to me the past 2 weeks. So i hope the good things will now come a-rolling.
